The Mind Light Way School of Zen is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Funds and donations to the Mind Light Way School of Zen are dedicated to advancing our mission in several key areas. They help cover essential operational costs, including maintaining practice spaces and supporting community outreach. Donations also enable us to develop new programs, workshops, and retreats, ensuring broad access to Zen teachings—especially for those who might otherwise be limited by financial constraints, through our Sunshine Fund!

  • Online Group Zoom Q&A (1-time with set date, up to 2 hours), access to recording, Questions can be taken ahead of time if you cannot attend

Golden Sun MEMBERSHIP

$1,500/year OR $120/month

  • Silver Moon benefits AND

  • Monthly personal interview/counsel with ZMSR

  • 15% Discount on all workshops/ local retreats 

  • Free moving meditation classes (covers 1 discipline, additional discipline for $100 per course¹.)

  • Friends and family eligible for moving meditation classes

  • 10% membership discount for family members.

Community Ambassadors
The honorary title of Community Ambassador is reserved for those whose extraordinary generosity—whether through significant financial contributions, resources, or dedicated service—has a profound and lasting impact on the Mind Light Way, School of Zen. This distinction honors their deep commitment to our mission of awakening, without implying a formal teaching role. Community Ambassadors are recognized as key pillars of our growing community, helping to sustain and expand the spaces, programs, and outreach that bring Zen practice to life. Community Ambassadors are also eligible to enroll in our Path of Mastery program, an immersive journey for those wishing to deepen their practice, wisdom, and embodiment of the Way.

Must be at least Golden Sun Member ($120/month OR $1,500/year).

  • By involving more people who share our spirit of compassion and creativity, we can cultivate a vibrant, global community prepared to bring these teachings into every corner of society. We are actively looking for volunteers who resonate with our vision and would like to contribute their time or unique skill sets—whether that means helping run community events, assisting with administrative tasks, collaborating on creative productions, supporting our social media and marketing efforts, or lending a hand with light maintenance and facility improvements.
